Acupuncture uses very fine, sterile, single-use needles at selected points. Moxibustion (뜸) applies the warmth of dried mugwort near or over those points. Used together, they are a traditional East Asian approach to comfort, circulation and relaxation. 침 치료는 아주 가는 멸균 일회용 침을 필요한 혈자리에 놓는 치료입니다. 뜸은 말린 쑥의 따뜻한 열을 혈자리에 전달하는 전통 요법입니다. 두 가지를 함께하면 편안함, 순환, 이완을 돕는 동양 전통 치료가 됩니다.

Sok Huh has spent more than 20 years practicing and teaching acupuncture, moxibustion and East Asian herbal medicine. He has worked in a Korean hospital alongside multidisciplinary medical teams, taught Acupuncture and Moxibustion as a professor in Vancouver, and in Virginia has worked side by side with orthopedic physicians on pain and rehabilitation care. Patients know him for a precise, gentle needle and traditional 뜸. 허석 선생님은 20년 이상 침, 뜸, 한약 분야에서 진료와 교육을 해 왔습니다. 한국 병원에서 다학제 의료진과 함께 진료했고, 캐나다 밴쿠버에서 침구학 교수로 강의했으며, 버지니아에서는 정형외과 전문의와 협진하여 통증과 재활 치료를 해 왔습니다. 정교하고 부드러운 침 시술과 전통 뜸 치료로 잘 알려져 있습니다.

Does acupuncture hurt?침 맞을 때 아픈가요?
Acupuncture needles are much thinner than the needles used for shots. Most people feel a light tap, a dull ache or warmth, and many find the session relaxing. Tell us if anything feels uncomfortable and we will adjust.침은 주사바늘보다 훨씬 가늘어서 대부분 가볍게 톡 하는 느낌이나 묵직함, 따뜻함 정도만 느끼십니다. 불편하시면 바로 말씀해 주세요. 조절해 드립니다.
What should I wear?어떤 옷을 입고 가야 하나요?
Loose, comfortable clothing that can be rolled up above the elbows and knees. Please eat a light meal beforehand.팔꿈치와 무릎 위까지 걷어 올릴 수 있는 편한 옷이 좋습니다. 가볍게 식사하고 오세요.
